| Funny Moments...
During my freshman year, I used to have a crush on an older Bible study leader. Well, if you don't me know well, I'm just one of those people who cannot keep things cool. If I'm a around a guy I like, I get really nervous and stumble and make all kinds of ridiculous comments or actions. So...
One day, I went down to the FAR library to hit the books. I remember that I had so much reading to catch up on but felt totally unmotivated to study. So I was kind of reading magazines and organizing my planner and all... pretty much diddle daddling and wasting time. THEN OUT OF THE CORNER OF MY EYE...I SAW HIM...HE WAS COMING INTO THE LIBRARY.
I started to scurry, my hands got really sweaty and I distinctly remember feeling that weird stomach-ache feeling. I was thinking, 'please come and say hi.' but I would've been totally fine if he didn't say anything and just kind of left. So, in anticipation of him coming by to my table to ask how it's going, I decided to portray to him that I was studying hard. After all, he was a Bible study leader and my motives were to make a good impression.
So I picked up my paperback and OH MY... before I could really start to read, he was already at my table saying 'HI'.
But I was still cool enough to say at least a 'Hi' without fumbling and so I did.
And he said, 'Suzy, it looks like you're studying hard.'
I said, 'yeah-I have a lot to do'.
He said, 'I was just visiting FAR to see if my small group guys are around. But looks like you have a lot to do!'
And he left and I felt like things were a little awkward.
And whatta ya' know... I was holding my book upside down the whole time.
My oh my, those were good times. I really wish I could redo undergrad years.

| "5 Things I Do Weird"
1. At night when I'm winding down from the day, you'll almost always catch me touching my feet and toes. Actually, I pick at my toes and under my feet. It's very soothing for me.
2. I floss my teeth with yarn. Just kidding, it's almost like it though. It's called 'dento-tape' by Johnson&Johnson. It's just very thick, but it gives you that post-dental cleaning feeling every time.
3. I love Korean acupunture and Korean herbal medicine.
4. I check my mail once every 2-3 days. It's almost always junk and bills.
5. My memories are heavily influenced by the sense of smell. ie... Some people's memories are very visual and yet others auditory. But for me, I can sometimes close my eyes and remember things as I attempt to remember the smell of that place or the ambience and mood I felt from that time. Weird eh?

| Anyway, this was hilarious to me.
I was sitting next to this one 4 year old African-American girl in my class during the line activity time. And I happen to stretch my arms straight up in the air as usual and this is what she said to me.
"Ms. Cho, you smell good when you put your arms in the air!"
I don't think she had any idea exactly why that was... but Jalyece, you could thank 'Secret' for that one !

| New School Year 2005-2006
Interesting children's stories to be posted soon.
Meanwhile, I'm still living in Korea sometimes and so here I go with some Korean movies. This week I rented JSA.
So far these are a few of the ones I've watched.
1) Silmido (I really liked it) 2) Dancer's Passion (Moon Keun-Young) kind of a chick flick 3) Marathon 4) Taekuki (I have a lot of mixed feelings about this one) 5) Old Boy 6) Oasis 7) The Way Home
Any recommendations? | | |
| And so... another great year has passed !
So, for my b-day one of my roommates took me out for dinner. We decided to go to 'Jim Gould's Restaurant' (a new Chop House in downtown Champaign). Great ambiance, good food, and a good time. Our waiter brings the check out and I insist on paying for my meal. My undisclosed roommate really insists that she'll pay. We finally settled the matter by deciding to go dutch tonight because my friend's are going to take me out this weekend in Chicago. Then she opens up her purse and realizes that she didn't bring her wallet. So... for my b-day I paid for my roommate and myself.
All is well. I had a great laugh and a good time.
